The Human

Humans can be found across the galaxy. They are notorious for being dangerously curious and extremely ambitious.

A common trait for humans is their enjoyment of challenges, constantly finding themselves on the edge of frontiers or attempting to colonize so-called death-worlds. This shows their one remarkable quality: Adaptability.

Diversity under Pressure

Humans are biologically simple compared to other anthropoid species. This innate simplicity is also their strength; they can quickly adapt within a few generations to their surroundings. While genetically similar across the species, some would be adapted to thinner atmospheres, heavier gravity, and even the rigors of long-term space travel.

This malleability also manifests within the plethora of cultures that have sprung up on different worlds they choose to inhabit.

New Wyrdings

Ontometric abilities in humans is new; only in the last hundred Cycles have confirmed wyrds started to appear. While some of it may be genetic, with increased likelihood of a human being born a wyrd is higher if their parents are wyrds, the statistical odds are still within the margin of error.

Ambitious Explorers

One of the common Attributes given to humans is their ambition. Some species are reckless, and some are meticulous, but humans have struck a strange balance allowing them to make leaps in technology and society, but not so much that they risk a collapse of everything. This is seen in their desire to explore and discover. As a species, they are always on the move towards the unknown.

Quasi-Nomadic

While not explicitly nomadic like some other species, humans always seem to be on the move, finding new things to explore or just wanting to find opportunities.

Terran Ecmenopolis

Humans do not hold their species homeworld in any special regard. There is a sense of historical loss and nostalgia when talking about Earth before the impact that obliterated its surface; but that is a sense of loss of a common history.

Terra (Sol C Prime), as it is commonly referred to now, is what replaced it. A massive and complex city now sits where geological features once stood.

History Lost and Cultural Nostalgia

Human cultural history was lost during the Impact. Because of this, they only have scraps of their own history to go from and no one knows how accurate that information is. This creates a situation where they think of there own pre-impact history and traditions with more nostalgia than as set rules to live their lives with.

However, with this loose foundation, new cultures have been created using these stories as their base.
